Last night’s animal spirit workshop was geared toward supporting participants to develop their ability to see and interact with the animal spirits for themselves. Encouragement was given to let go of the tendency to judge the information coming forward, rather to joyfully allow the mysteries to unfold. We doubt ourselves, in the beginning, I know from experience. Rather than getting lost in uncertainty, guidance was given to––OFFER GRATITUDE to the universe for what comes into our consciousness; TRUST there is truth beyond our knowing, CONVERSE and ASK QUESTIONS of the information presented, OPEN our hearts to the highest good of all and ALLOW thoughts and ideas to move through with ease and grace. With practice, this exercise does become easier. In the beginning, it is not uncommon to second guess ourselves right out of discovering what the animal spirits are want to share.
One participant in the workshop explained how the idea of meditating and focusing in on one idea was a challenge. Instead, she felt the ideas moved quickly through leaving her with concern that she was flying off on a tangent. I am grateful to this participant for sharing her choice to question her experience as it led to such a rich conversation in the group. It is through reflection of our experiences that we learn best. We agreed that meditation comes in many forms. It truly is a whole topic unto itself. The animal spirit pulling us in a certain direction however, there is magic there beyond measure! I would encourage a person to follow to see where that tugging leads because guaranteed you will find an abundance of love, support and encouragement at the end.
Each participant received an animal spirit reading from me as part of the package. For one, this idea of being drawn along was very much the case. Initially, the image of a BEE came into my view, immediately followed by the words, “Mama Bird”. Curious, I considered that for me, “mama bird’ is ROBIN. As robin steps into my vision space, I witness her tip her head toward the earth, listening for WORM below the surface. I follow the lead and look below the surface myself to discover worm weaving her magic in the rich soil. Although worm might be considered a lowly creature, it is she who aerates the land, allowing the rain and oxygen to feed the roots of the plants and trees! How grateful are they for her diligence! Because of her good work, the plants and trees flourish and what do they do in return? They fill the air with the oxygen needed by all living creatures of the world.
Were I to have stopped the pull of ideas, one to the other to the next, I may not have reached the glory of worm. Had I judged her, I may have missed the beauty of her work. In this reading, we weren’t to focus on one animal spirit or the other, but the communication of the whole. Without trust, we would miss the wonder of Spirit’s message to this wonderful woman. The imagery is a reflection of who she is, how she moves in the world. The universe sees her for who she is, the work she does behind the scenes being a profound benefit to the community as a whole. Oooo yes. Let the ideas take you and love what comes. In this case, the recipient had three animal spirits to consider along with the story of the images that the universe brought forth with me as a conduit!
A grand thank you to this gathering of curious folk, for your interest in the animal spirits and for inviting me to share and guide you to try it yourselves. Here’s hoping you walked away feeling supported to open to the possibility that the animals in our day-to-day life are dancing there with love for each and every one of us. Tap in and see for yourselves
With love,
Catherine ~
Hello Cathy, It was wonderful having you! I loved the idea of my spirit animal being a seagull and what you wrote about that. Funny enough almost everyone connected me to birds. I thought what you did with the workshop was wonderful!
Hi Shannon!
I can’t tell you how excited I was to watch the group! Everyone seemed to step into the possibilities and let things flow at their own level. I trust the conversation that follows, after people have a chance to digest a little, will be rich. Remember, doubting, questioning, reflecting, puzzling over the experiences is an important as trusting that we aren’t crazy after all.
We all have personal choice in the experiences so that knowing it isn’t for you, is as important and worth honouring as if it is something a person wants to pursue.
I truly wish I could be a fly on the wall for future discussions. Reach out if you have further questions.
With love!

Keep in mind, Shannon, Seagull may be a loving messenger for you in the moment or a lifelong companion. Either way, I love seagull. Seagull was a messenger of love from my mom when she moved on ahead so I always think of that bird with fondness.
🙂
I enjoyed the freshness and wisdom of your insight. From the worm to the trees, to the planet. All is connected.
Thank you, sending love and respect.
Hello Miki!!
So fun to see you here and thank you for your kind words. I know you understand all things spirit at a very profound level. Thanks for weighing in and for staying connected all these years.
With love,
