There is something truly special that happens when a group gathers with an open heart and a shared curiosity about Spirit.
At a recent Animal Spirit Workshop I hosted, participants were guided to begin trusting their own ability to see, sense, and interact with the animal spirits around them. So often, we second-guess what comes through. We question, we hesitate, we wonder if we are “getting it right.”
This workshop offers a different approach. Rather than judging the information, we practice welcoming it.
We explore what becomes possible when we:
-
-
-
- offer gratitude for what arises
- trust there is truth beyond our immediate understanding
- stay curious and ask questions
- open our hearts to the highest good
- allow impressions to move freely, without resistance
-
-
With practice, something shifts. What once felt uncertain begins to feel natural… even joyful.
One participant shared that meditation felt difficult for her—that instead of stillness, ideas came quickly, almost too quickly. She worried she was “going off track.” What unfolded from that honest reflection was a beautiful realization: connection does not always come in stillness. Sometimes it comes in movement, in following the thread, in allowing yourself to be gently led. And when you follow that pull… there is magic there.
During one reading, the words “Mama Bird” came through, followed by the image of a lovely Robin. I searched for hints about who Robin is and gently questioned why she is here. Her head tilts. She is listening deeply, paying attention to things beyond the surface. Quiet, focused, expanding her awareness. In her role as “Mama Bird,” she seeks to support those in need of nourishment.
Following Robin’s lead, I delved below to find the worm weaving her magic in the rich soil. Often considered a lowly creature, it is the worm who aerates the land, creating space for the life force of water and air to feed the roots, the plants, and the trees. How grateful they are for her service! In gratitude, the plants fill the air with the oxygen needed by all living creatures of the world.
Had I missed the invitation of Robin to listen deeply, I may not have reached the glory of the worm. Had I judged the worm as lowly, I might have dismissed the sanctity of her work. By staying curious, we uncover the richness, the subtle wisdom, and the profound truth that the universe offers. As we attune, we can hear what the animal spirits share:
“We see you. We honour the work you do behind the scenes. Know that your humble service nourishes those who need it, fills a need, and has impact beyond what you may notice. We see you and are grateful for all that you do.”
The message wasn’t about one animal—it was about the whole. About unseen contributions, quiet strength, and the profound impact of work done with love.
This is the beauty of working with the animal spirits. They are a doorway into the mystic, one I believe is accessible to all. A way to be of service within the beauty of nature.
In these workshops, curiosity is welcomed. Participants discover there is no right or wrong way to receive. They are encouraged to trust their impressions, follow the threads that arise, and allow themselves to be guided by the quiet wisdom of Spirit. Robin and Worm remind us that attentive service and care—even when subtle or unseen—are recognized and valued.
If you feel called to gather a group—friends, family, or kindred spirits—and explore this gentle, meaningful connection together, I would be honoured to guide you.
There is a doorway here.
Simple. Natural. Available to all.
And it begins with curiosity.
With love,
Catherine ~

Hello Cathy, It was wonderful having you! I loved the idea of my spirit animal being a seagull and what you wrote about that. Funny enough almost everyone connected me to birds. I thought what you did with the workshop was wonderful!
Hi Shannon!
I can’t tell you how excited I was to watch the group! Everyone seemed to step into the possibilities and let things flow at their own level. I trust the conversation that follows, after people have a chance to digest a little, will be rich. Remember, doubting, questioning, reflecting, puzzling over the experiences is an important as trusting that we aren’t crazy after all.
We all have personal choice in the experiences so that knowing it isn’t for you, is as important and worth honouring as if it is something a person wants to pursue.
I truly wish I could be a fly on the wall for future discussions. Reach out if you have further questions.
With love!

Keep in mind, Shannon, Seagull may be a loving messenger for you in the moment or a lifelong companion. Either way, I love seagull. Seagull was a messenger of love from my mom when she moved on ahead so I always think of that bird with fondness.
🙂
I enjoyed the freshness and wisdom of your insight. From the worm to the trees, to the planet. All is connected.
Thank you, sending love and respect.
Hello Miki!!
So fun to see you here and thank you for your kind words. I know you understand all things spirit at a very profound level. Thanks for weighing in and for staying connected all these years.
With love,
Catherine ~
