Everything about this place
Is ice blue
And cold
Frozen
An impenetrable block
Take a torch
And light a fire
To melt away the pain of it

Drip

Of sacrifice and sorrow

Once the core,
Exposed and raw,
Beats in the light of day

And only then,
Will the healing begin
You can bleed,
And deny its salt sweet taste in your mouth

Cannot be fooled
What is it you’d like to say
Given half a chance?
What words would you choose
To express that inner wound?
Open your mouth
And let the words flow into my heart

Then let them melt away
Into the light of love

And fighting for justice
It’s about letting go…
