I can hear you breathing

I sit with you each night
And touch your hair
Your face

     I lay beside you as you sleep
          Waiting for your consciousness to disengage
               So that I might walk with you in spirit

You are not alone

Those nights where sleep is fitful . . .

Those nights when you are not willing to come
When you need to stay on the Earthly plane

I watch you still

Listening for the sound of your breath

It’s a mystical sound
Between the worlds

Let that be your truth

Let it be
That I wait for you
Not the other way around

Listen to your own state of mind
And give yourself time
To be where you are

You are the lucky one

Breathe into that

Let the worlds be one
As they need to be

Not by force
But by alliance
To the one true LOVE

We can traverse the in-between
We can step in and out
But that doesn’t mean we aught to every day

Listen to your heart

Let your heart be your guide

We will see each other again

And again
