We often move about our day
Flitting from one activity to the next
         Without a single thought
             Worth remembering
At the end of the day

We can’t recall a single word worth remembering
     And so,
         Instead,
We summarize our day in terms of tasks done

     I did this
         I did that
I have less to do now than I did before
     When really
          The tasks performed
Are of little or no consequence whatsoever

         Meaningless

              Mindless

                 Monotonous jobs
Lined up one after the other

The truth being,
     If none were complete
The world would be no more or less a better place
             Than it was before

         Can you imagine
The bored state of our consciousness?

Allow this constant state of boredom
To slip from your routine like fire in a wheat field

Manage your day in such a way that
     One thing
         At the very least
Is lived like a breath of fresh air

Let it seep through
     Wind through
          Dance through your day
               Weaving the mundane
Into psychedelic patterns of colour and light
Enough to set your mind on fire!

Can you see how one single thread of energy
Can make such a difference in the overall outcome?

             Never dull or mindless..

Be the one to bring yourself alive

     You can be the one
To wind a thread of joyful contemplation
             Into your own life

Be that wave of green love light
And let it shine through you
To all those who find themselves near you

             It’s a wondrous thought!

                 Amen to that!
